Today was a day of great accomplishment! Jason and I literally worked all day to clean out what will become Madison's nursery. We were hoping to be moved into a new house before Madison's arrival, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. So, we decided to go ahead and make our spare bedroom into a makeshift nursery so that our sweet baby will have a place to lay her head when she comes home for the first time! We are not setting up her crib or her dresser yet . . . we are still hoping to move over the summer where she will have her "real" nursery. Instead, she will start out sleeping in a Pack N' Play. This is not at all how I pictured bringing home my daughter from the hospital, but I am thankful to have this room to make her own.
As you can see, this room has basically become a dumping ground for anything and everything. It has served no real purpose in the last 5 years of our living here, and it was definitely a mess.
This is Jason's futon that he has had since college. It will stay in the nursery for now, but hopefully with some pretty pillows, not these piles.
After 10 big bags of trash, an hour in the attic, and a complete overhaul in the garage, we finally made progress!

Stay tuned . . . the Extreme Nursery Makeover will be taking place next weekend!
